Madelin Newman is trying to dress better.
After 10 years working in the fashion industry and seeing just how murky supply chains really are, she is committed to investigating the real social and environmental impacts of the fashion industry, and using that knowledge to shop more responsibly.
In 2014, Madelin left her job at a fashion magazine to dive head first into all manners of ethical fashion production. First stop – Kenya and Tanzania, where she consulted for SEW Tanzania.
Madelin is also a writer, tackling topics from Woody Allen to feminism to responsible fashion manufacturing.
